Literature Text

You try to stare me down with eyes
that have no substenance behind.
The spark is gone, the flame has died
and all that is left is hate I find.
All your vaunted goals are ended
All your dreams have come undone.
Your haughty laughter now condemned
your bitter eyes burn like the sun.
Long ago I offered friendship
I gift I thought you had received
But now I see your heart has receded
into the swirling void of lightless grief.
Years go by I watch you stumble
offer help and pride refused
So finally I let you tumble
sick and tired of the abuse.
Some may call it cold and heartless
but I call it your just desserts.
Why can't you see I tried to save you?
I tried to climbs your walls of hurt.
Now you find you're on your own
All your friends you stabbed in hate
Skin so gaunt I count your bones
so glad I didnt share your fate.
You kill your friends and eat their dreams
to get an illusion of control.
As we all watch you breathe your last
I scream into your hollow soul.
In a crappy mood today and dont know why. Oh well, this one was inspired by a coworker (not saying who, dont ask). Little different than my usual style, but still has somewhat of a flow to it. Comments welcome

I really like the last line of this... I scream into your hollow soul... Very very good! I so much love how you can express yourself so clearly and poetically... And this poem is definitely good; gorgeous, in a dark way... Because of all the emotions. But of course, it is sad, so sad. It is terrible to wake up and find yourself hated by someone you thought loved you...
