::[Frosted Dreams]::

Walking out onto the landing
I shiver from the numbing cold.
See the snowflakes gently dancing
each a work of art I'm told.
Gently shuffle to the railing
to see portal once again.
Always waiting, growing, trailing
formed from teardrops mixed with wind.

Crystaline in it's formation
the icicle before me stands
And as I gaze into this doorway
frosted visions fill the land.
Blades of grass becomes a forest
covered by the morning frost.
Laughing children turn to giants
seeking treasures gained and lost.
Trees becomes enormous mountains
I close my eyes and start to climb.
The wind becomes a lover's whisper
I gently take her hand in mine.

All these visions fill my dreaming
imaginations take to flight.
And as I watch the winter sunrise
I tip my hat to parting night.
Hidden underneath our noses
take the time to stop and see
what some just see a winter's snow
others see as Frosted Dreams.

Amazing what a change in perception can do to an everyday scene....what was once a simple snowfall becomes much much more, if we take the time to listen to that little kid inside of us that wants to build a snowman and throw snowballs again. The choice is up to you, half full or half empty?
